911 Carrera 4

Delivered new in Stuttgart in May 1990, this Carrera 4 was bought in 1996 by an enthusiast from the Moselle who only parted with it this year. Thirty-six years, two owners: the service book and invoices cover the full 129,000 km, filed year by year.

The 964 introduced four-wheel drive to the 911, and this one works exactly as it should: quiet when manoeuvring, unshakeable in the rain. The model's known weak points have been dealt with: the distributor-housing ventilation kit was fitted in 2019, and the clutch and dual-mass flywheel were replaced at 114,000 km. A light film of oil is visible at the rocker covers — we mention it because it is common on this engine, and it is being monitored.

The black paint is original, apart from the front bonnet, resprayed in 2021 after stone chips — invoice on file. The light grey leather interior is complete, with no tears and no sagging. It starts from cold without hesitation and can be driven in any weather; its last owner took it across the Vosges every summer.
